Rich Davis
Senior Security Advisor, International SOS
Rich joined International SOS in 2019 as a Senior Security Advisor. Prior to joining International SOS he worked for United Airlines for forty years, thirty of those years in the security department and the last twenty-two of those years as the Chief Security Officer (CSO). During his thirty years in aviation security he worked very closely with multiple government entities including the FBI, U.S. State Department, DHS, TSA, U.S. Customs and the intelligence community as civil aviation was, and remains, a primary target of terrorists.
While serving as the CSO for United, he was appointed to the the U.S. State Department's Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) where he served from 2007-2018, The FBI's Domestic Security Alliance Council (DSAC), where he served from 2007-2018 and the Executive Committee from 2010-2018, joined the International Security Management Association (ISMA) from 2007-2021 and was elected to their Board of Directors from 2016-2021. He is also the President and Board of Director of the International Security Foundation (ISF) and a member of the Board of Directors of the Domestic Security Partnership (DSP). The ISF and DSP are 501C3 entities that support OSAC and DSAC. He was also appointed to the Center for Strategic International Studies (CSIS) as a member of the Global Security Advisor Group (GSAG).
In the aviation sector, he was six time chairman of the Airlines for America (A4A) and three time chairman of the International Aviation Transportation Association (IATA). He was also the vice chair of both associations five times. Most recently, in 2018, he was appointed to be a member of the Blue Ribbon Task Force - Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Mitigation to address the growing issues of drone traffic at airports. He is an accomplished public speaker who has spoken at airline and airport safety and security conferences around the world. Rich was voted one of 2015's Most Influential People in Security.
Rich is a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois and holds a Bachelor's Degree in History.
